I'm not a Catholic at all, and I have no problem with Catholicism per se. I simply have no patience for alleged moral leaders who are completely absent from the largest conflict in the present-day world. Where's the exhortation to defense of Catholicism, under mortal assault from Islam? This is no time to be sitting on the fence. And I don't see why my previous guess is unreasonable at all given that it is extremely common - nay, dominant even - on that continent.
