Guess you can't beat the German out of these guys. Maybe those cries about Ratzinger being a Hitler Youth weren't that far off base.

"Besides the assault on morality, the matter cannot be interpreted as anything but the justification as terror against Jews."
What assault on morality?

That's okay. Now Israel know who her true friends are:

PA condemns Netanya bombing

The Palestinian Authority has officially condemned the Netanya attack on the Hasharon Mall.

(07.12.05, 20:07)

I'll bet all the officials at the Foreign Ministry are greatly encouraged by those sincere sentiments.

"Pope condemns on Sunday terrorism in Iraq, Egypt, Turkey and Britain, but leaves out Israel..."

It does not surprise me in the least that he complained about terrorism in countries that support terrorism while neglecting to mention terrorism against Jews. European national leaders have done the same and have even convinced our President to do so, thanks to the lobbying of his followers and those of other large churches.

Has this Pope manifested any anti Israeli sentiments? I don't know of any.

On the other hand, Tony Blair, and his Government has bludgeoned Israel repeatedly and also left out Israel when discussing terror.

Why doesn't Israel have the guts to call Blair on his behavior?

Foreign Ministry officials expressed outrage over the exclusion: "The evasion of the pope begs a response. Besides the assault on morality, the matter cannot be interpreted as anything but the justification as terror against Jews."

Shut it. Just shut it. The Pope, who has already been more of a friend than almost ANY other world leader, was answering a question about if he thought the Islamist attacks were due to anti-Christian sentiment. How exactly does that apply to the Jews? Pope Benedict XVI is a great friend of Israel and will remain such and you darned well know it, so drop the idiotic complaint. Deal with the fact that this had nothing to do with Israel Mr. Foreign Minister.

26-July-2005 -- Vatican Information Service ATTACK ON ISRAEL WAS INCLUDED IN PAPAL CONDEMNATION

VATICAN CITY, JUL 26, 2005 (VIS) - Yesterday evening, Holy See Press Office Director Joaquin Navarro-Valls released the following declaration to journalists:

"Concerning the Israeli reaction to the fact that the Holy Father, in his Angelus of Sunday July 24, did not also mention Israel alongside other countries, it should be noted that Benedict XVI's words specifically referred to the attacks of 'these days.'

"It is surprising that the Holy Father's intention should have been thus groundlessly misinterpreted, it being well known that in numerous interventions the Church, the Magisterium of the Supreme Pontiffs, and most recently Pope Benedict XVI, have condemned all forms of terrorism, from whatever side it comes and against whomsoever it is directed.

"Obviously, the serious attack in Netanya two weeks ago, to which the Israeli comments refer, also falls under the general and unreserved condemnation of terrorism."

..................................................

"condemned all forms of terrorism, from whatever side it comes and against whomsoever it is directed"

Word for word the same crap the "Palestinians" spout after every attack.

Is it just me or is the writing in this article garbled. The first sentence abruptly changes tenses and the fourth is an incomplete thought.
