Russia's Interfax news agency reports that notorious spammer Vardan Kushnir was found brutally murdered. His body was discovered in his Moscow apartment on Sunday, showing evidence of repeated blows to the head....

Apparently the killers just "popped up" out of nowhere.
One of the assailants placed a sign in front of the victim that said "To stop this beating and be removed from our murder list, please click on the X." Unfortunately, the X was hidden just out of reach.

As the details come in surrounding his death comes, whatever sympathy I may have had begins to dissipate even mre quickly than I expected. From The Washington Times:
Local news reports said Kushnir had met a girl at a nightclub and invited her and two other women to his apartment. The reports said their accomplices who later came to rob him killed him. "This was not a contract killing or revenge for spam," a detective said.
