Greta - Jug, how do you brace yourself, because you sort of have a couple of problems. One is that your wife is the Mother, you’re the step-father, you’ve been close to Natalee. You’ve been racing back and forth to the United States for work. How do you brace yourself for this?
Jug - Well, first of all I work for a company and have employees that they take care of all that for me. I don’t have to worry about that. I’m here to support Beth and I get up every morning and we kneel every night and say our prayers. I just support her by saying that tomorrow’s going to be a better day and something’s going to happen. I truly believe since I’ve been here for the last 24 hours, something is going to happen, something’s getting ready to happen. There’s just too much talking down here. I believe that the FBI is really getting involved here. And thank goodness to the Prime Minister. I think maybe he wrote a letter that spurred it. I don’t know who spurred it, but I can tell by some conversations we’ve had today that things are starting to happen.
Greta - Beth, have you ever met the prosecutor whose now at Quantico, VA.at the FBI lab, the one who was sent here on Sunday? Have you ever met her?
Beth - No, I have not Greta.
Greta - How did you find out? I hope it wasn’t by us in the media, but how did you find out that she was being sent to Quantico, VA?
Beth - I did find it out from our attorney. _________
Greta - What did you understand is the why or what is the purpose of this?
Beth - Well, I know that they were sent to deliver some evidence, but I think there was another part to it, but I’m not exactly clear on that so I better save that for her to answer.

Greta - Jug, take me back to the beginning. You met Joran van der Sloot. Tell me again, what happened?
Jug - Uh, well we actually came to the island, Beth and I were in the hotel. We searched around went to Carlos and Charlies. Long story short. One of the guys who was with us paid some guy on the beach $100 to find out who this kid was, where he lived. Basically went to the police station, got two uniformed officers which I’m REALLY interested in seeing those things. I’ve asked for that since the beginning They were with us for at least two hours that night. Took him to his house, the we left there went to the Wyndym, then we came back to his house, the left there and came back to the Holiday Inn. I still, I’ve asked every time I get into a meeting with whoever, the authorities, I have asked that I would like to see those statements from those two policemen.
Greta - When you ask for them, what happens? What answers do you get?
Jug - All different kinds of answers. “We’re working on it.” You know, I meant they don’t give out things like they do in the United States. That’s the part that is so hard for a family. They don’t communicate the way you would think they do in the United States. Beth’s done a lot of investigation by herself. That’s why I worry when I go home, especially when I hear my friend call me and say Guess Beth and Great are. Oh boy! Beth has done a fantastic job. Well everybody. All my friends, all my family. .We’ve got tremendous support down here. Everybody is doing something to try and get answers.
Greta - Jug, I just followed her there. She didn’t follow me. I followed her.
Jug - Ok. Ok. I hear ya.

Greta interviews Jossy Mansur...
G - Welcome back Jossy. In today’s paper you describe a witness having a golden tip. What do you mean?
J - Well, in a sense that he saw these three people in a place they shouldn’t have been according to their previous declarations.
G - What is it this witness says he saw and when?
J - He said that he was driving by because he was leaving his home to go some where cooler, because it was hot in his apartment, and in his car he passed a car that was parked on the dirt road by the racquet club and he had to pass by it very close so that he had a very good look inside, and he saw these three guys that he had recognized from photos that came out in the paper during the week.
G - Why did he wait so long to come forward?
J - Because he was afraid! Because he is under the impression that this is a murder case and he knows that he will be involved by giving a statement to the police, by being taken to Court and acting as a witness to this. Not everybody wants to get involved in this.

G - Jossy, I spoke to Steve Croes who worked on the Tatoo party boat down there, and asked him why he came forward with sort of a phony excuse. He said because he is a good person which didn’t make any sense to me. I put him under the category ‘Go figure’. Um, how do we know that this one isn’t someone who also wants to jump on the bandwagon and provide information? Were you able to corroborate anything he said?
J - Of course I can. But in order to corroborate I have to go back to the 13th of June. On the 13th of June, ten to eight, Joran gave some statements to the police that are very surprising to me. He told the police “I have a suspicion of where Deepak Shadmak Kalpoe buried the body of this girl under the sand near the fisherman’s hut. So at 8:00 that night the police put him in the patrol car, took him over to where he said, and he pointed out to a little bit to the north of the first fisherman’s hut. Then they questioned him further, and he made some other statements that to me were very surprising to the police. He said he went at 2:00 in the morning with Natalee to the beach. They lay on the beach and Natalee fell asleep. When she fell asleep he got up and he walked back to the place where he came from. And then he said something that corroborates with everthing this witness is saying. He said Deepak went back to the beach where the girl was lying asleep. Then at the end of the interrogation by four police officers, the transcript was signed by all four of them. Joran said “I think that Deepak raped the girl and then murdered her.” This is on record with the police on that statement on the 13th of June, ten to eight.

G - Jossy, I spoke to Deepak in his home and his mother was basically a guard over him, wouldn’t let him talk about the case, but she left the room for a second, and he told me that he and Joran were no longer friends because of statements Joran was making. I tried to get more out of him, but his mother walked in and that ended that conversation. Do you think this is one of the statements Deepak was talking about?
J - But of course. Deepak has to come with some kind of explanation that will neutralize whatever Joran says about him. But it also shows. The reason why I brought this to the fore is that it proves they were at the beach at 2:00. The statement that they made that they took Joran and the girl and left them there and then went home is not true. Because they were all there together at the beach and we can see that from this statement, and since the racquet club is close by, it is within walking distance from the Marriott Hotel, they must have gone from there, 2:00 they were there. And be seen by this guy, parked over there, waiting for someone to come rendevous with them there, between 2:30 and 3:00. So the time span makes sense with what this witness is saying.
