It is called a tri-mode handset. And you have to ask your carrier, T-Mobil,Verizon or whoever, to activate a specific country that you are going to. I asked them to activate Mexico for me. I make calls back to the U.S. on my cell phone and it is 69 cents a minute. Much cheaper than any other option down there. I'm sure Aruba is also an option that is easily acquired.

You are going to need a GSM phone, and T-Mobile, Cingullar, and AT&T use them. I highly recommened one of the new quad bands, which will work anywhere in the world. You simply purchase a new SIM card for the areas you want to go, and presto bingo you have service there.
