Jossy thinks that PVDS made the right decision to walk away. Im still trying to catch up after being gone all day and having to leave again in a few minutes, but what does Jossy mean by PVDS 'walking away'? I really want to know!

Im still trying to catch up after being gone all day and having to leave again in a few minutes, but what does Jossy mean by PVDS 'walking away'? I really want to know! Giving up his position as substitute judge. PVDS went into his office yesterday and cleared out all his belongings.
