I thought it was odd that the two brothers had different lawyers. Maybe that's customary, I don't know. But I thought that maybe they knew that one brother was a lot guiltier than the other and they wanted to protect the less guilty one from association with his brother. Just a thought.

Has anyone attempted to reconcile the 3:00 am mysterious phone calls (possibly from Natalee) with these 3 jerks being seen by the Racquet Club?

According to rumor, one of the calls has a Natalee-like voice mumbling "I don't know these people." Could Joran and the Alpo Bros have left her with PVDS and his cronies back at the VDS home?

Something doesn't compute if they are supposedly burying a body in the pond at 2:30 a.m. and Natalee is calling for help, obviously alive, at 3 a.m.

I just read what the blogger wrote and "tired" like hell to explain it to someone until I figured out my posts were being ignored by the person who I was posting to. But I knew others would be paying attention.

I think it is good find and I need to write the Texas Search Team so they can check into who actually owns that home. If the VDS's rented it, vacated it and do not own it. Then the Texas team need to find out who owns it and ask for permission to search the Well/Cistern.

One thing is that the house may be considered new - but with the old house tore down with a new one on built on the property - thus leaving the old well/cistern and plant life alone. Land is probably expensive on the island - so tearing down an old house and rebuilting on top of the old foundation is probably pretty common there.

That is incorrect. On July 4, the judge ruled that JvdS could be held for 60 more days.

The investigation into what happened to a U.S. teen who vanished more than five weeks ago is focusing on a Dutch minor after a judge ruled police could detain him an additional 60 days but ordered the release of two Surinamese brothers.

A judge ruled Monday there was sufficient evidence against 17-year-old Joran van der Sloot to keep him jailed while prosecutors built their case, but ordered brothers Deepak Kalpoe, 21, and Satish Kalpoe, 18, released immediately.

Paul Van der Sloot has 3 or 4 houses that he rents right across the street from the Marriott, one of which would be the ultimate chick magnet place for a 17 year old and his friends if said 17 year old had a key. Maybe she called from there. Maybe the Joran and the Kalpoe brothers were out doing bong hits or snorting a few lines in the car because they didn't want to share with anyone at the party. Natalee may have been passed out on a bed. I hate to bring us all back to square one, but the revelation of accessible houses close to the Marriott puts a whole new spin on things or maybe just brings up some old theories.

When did Paulus go to jail? There was some talk at the time that he may have wanted to get arrested to get in there to talk with Joran.
