Maybe she called from there. Maybe the Joran and the Kalpoe brothers were out doing bong hits or snorting a few lines in the car because they didn't want to share with anyone at the party. Natalee may have been passed out on a bed. I hate to bring us all back to square one, but the revelation of accessible houses close to the Marriott puts a whole new spin on things or maybe just brings up some old theories.

Now that does make a lot of sense when you think about. How certain is it that VDS owns property right there? Also, if there was new construction going on in the area they could have been using an empty, yet almost completed, home for their little get-together.

You have a good point - all this needs to be checked out, if we are wrong then so be it. If the home the VDS's lived in is a rental and they are now gone (broke their lease) then the owner of that home can give Equusearch the ok to search the well if they are willing let them do it.

These "pads" should be thoroughly checked out, of course, but how does that reconcile with Beth "knowing" when she went to the VDS home that her daughter had been there at 3 am? We were speculating that the monkey noise may have been in the background of Natalee's help calls.
