They're scared. We must keep onto them; keep 'em running.

My thought exactly! What the heck does this mean?

It means he is against the war but doing a CYA because of what Knoll did in public

A resignation is not enough for this action. The Lt. Governor has no honor and does not deserve an honorable way out. She should be fired publicly. The Governor should present himself at the home of the family sans reporters and apologize personally for his misjudgment in his choice of Lt. Governor.

You have a point.

Personally, I wouldn't want any government official(s) in my home after that funeral fiasco.

She is an elected offical and I don't think she can be fired by Fast Eddie

Though she and Fast Eddie are up for relection in 2006

But Fast Eddy can make her an offer she can't refuse. Let's see if he does.

""It's not the business of state government to support the war, but our state supports the men and women who are fighting this war," Rendell said during an appearance in Mt. Washington."

Just digging yourselves deeper into your own "sh--", aren't your Gov. Rendell a,d Lt. Gov. Knoll?

"It's not the business of state government to support the war, but our state supports the men and women who are fighting this war," Rendell said

BS! If you don't support the mission for which the troops are dying for, you are not supporting the troops. These weasel words just don't cut it anymore.

Fast Eddie used to be the head of the DNC. That says a lot.

PA also offered homestead rebates last year. "Homestead Exclusion Act," they called it. If you qualified you got a huge relief of property taxes. But guess what? You're not getting it after all. Something to do with Ed Rendell, according to the local tax official. Meanwhile Rendell is still getting his fat raise.
Last year they cut the funding for the libraries, so our local library is now closed Saturdays. But nobody cut Ed Rendell's salary then.
I wish Ed Rendell would have mentioned that, last election, about the government of PA not supporting the war. He really should have campaigned on that.

Rendell said he thinks Knoll, 74, of McKees Rocks, meant no harm by attending the memorial service last Tuesday. He believes Knoll gave her business card to a family member so that Goodrich's family would have a contact within state government if they later needed help securing benefits.

Nice try, don't you think? I am sure the U.S. military relies on the Lt. Gov. of Pennsylvania to sort out those benefit questions. Not to mention that she gave them the business card while pointing out that "their" government opposes the war, not while saying "please contact us if we can help." Talk about sleazy back-pedaling!
