I would say one clue: it's left unattended.

It looks, well, uh...suspicious.

I can't describe one to you, but I'll know it when I see it!

Any package that's been unattended for a long time.

NYC has unattended cardboard packages everywhere, piled up with garbage, for example. How do I distinguiish the garden variety anattended package from a genuinely suspicious one? :-)

Second clue: it doesn't look like the garden variety usually seen by garbage : )

I dunno....I was in grand central yesterday taking Metro North to see my sis, bro-n-aw, and young nephew. I had a plastic bag with a 'hokey pokey cookie monster' in it. I always fancied myself suspicious looking, and indeed my feelings were hurt when none of the NYPD or National Guard would pay any attention to me! :-)

I'm taking this all down, thanks! I am still waiting for a reporter to stun Mayor Bloomie, Gov Pistachio, or the Homeland Security honchos by asking them exactly what a suspicious person looks like! :-)

Also, in Baghdad:

BLAST HITS POLICE STATION
At least 40 people have been killed and dozens wounded after a suicide bomber blew up a truck full of explosives in Baghdad.

An official told the AFP news agency: "The number of dead could rise further as we are still looking for bodies."

The bomber detonated his explosives outside a police station, an interior ministry official said.

Most of those killed were policemen and many of the bodies were left unrecognisable.

You should have put it down, looked around furtively and walked off.

Just a suggestion on the poll, I think we should leave the voting to the Brits, IMHO.

They can probably be relied upon.

But that would be profiling, and would hurt the profiled's feelings; musn't have that.....feelings over lives at all costs, literally.
