Edward Klein's new book, ''The Truth About Hillary,'' is not a biography, to be evaluated in terms of how well or poorly it relates to real events or a real person; it is something much more revealing -- a kind of cultural dreamwork, like that in 18th-century penny ballads that linked real political figures to folklore, giving them supernatural traits. In the stories that Klein tells, we can clearly see the collective unconscious of our culture at work, throwing up vivid, even lurid fantasies that emerge out of the shifting balance of power between women and men.

Naomi Wolf doesn't know her ass from her elbow about reality. She's a total nitwit.
She peaked when she told Al Gore to wear earthtones.

Register and log in to the NY Times? Not too stinkin likely. How much more of that pap would a person have to read other than your headline and your excerpt to figure out that it is a total waste of time and energy?
Of course, if you're dying of curiosity, you could always go to bugmenot.com.
I wonder if Naomi Wolf will be called on to revamp Hillary's wardrobe as she did with Al Gore?
When is she going to put her talents to good use and appear in Playboy?

I must conclude that you haven't seen her lately.
Well put. What an airhead she is!
Yes, she is well past her prime.
She also peaked when she had to publicly remind Gore to be an alpha male.
Her review is coming a little late. This book has been out a while.
Another leftist air-head running interference for the realities of Hitlery. Be prepared for alot of it and have your shovel handy -- the book, by the way, was very good at presenting THE REAL HITLERY.
How God could have created her represents an experiment gone wrong...
The NYT probably thought that the book would sink of its own accord (due to MSM blacklisting), and only decided to do a hatchet job book review after it became clear that it was going to linger on the NYT best seller list...
That actually was good advice... Gore tends to 'lisp' if he doesn't speak slowly.
Agreed. It has good info, but is poorly documented and too much 'she likes to work with lesbians' stuff.
There is plenty to nail Hillary (so to speak), but this book doesn't do it (STS).
Hitlery epitomizes the 60's 'me-mentality' that now permeates our government, media and culture in general.
