I've thought this for a long time as well. They are probably sponsoring or at least supplying Islamic terrorists around the world. We know they have provided nuclear assistance to Iran, probably Pakistan. They are not interested in "helping" with North Korea because it is a useful distraction.

China wants Taiwan. China's population is getting older and they will have a depopulation bomb in the next few decades as the results of the one child policy come about. So, they need to make their move soon.

The economic war is also part of the picture. They control the Panama canal and are making common cause with the South American socialist wackos of Brazil and Venezuela. Take the money, spend it on building the military, man it with young men while they're still young, take Taiwan and control the Pacific. In the mean time sap the strength of your only rival with distractions.
