Lack of Immigration Reform among Republican leaders has split the Republican wide open.
Tom Tancredo's even considering the possibility of a win in 2008 is solid proof of that.
It's all in the tea leaves. He stands much better of a chance than many in the GOP care to consider and one that is likely to gain more momentum with each passing day that Americans percieve immigration is out of control.

"Unless I misread the political tea leaves, there is a great deal of support for what I say," Tancredo said.

I don't believe Tom Tancredo can be or even really wants to be elected but I'll vote for him if it wakes up the government to the problem of illegal immigration.

The ol' devil "racist" shtick is wearing out I think. More and more I hear people actually saying they are tired of the race hustle crap and I think this scam is comparable to Communism circa 1989.

Tancredo's said before that if he runs, it'll be to force the other candidates' hands on illegal immigration, rather than running to actually become the nominee and win.

AP:Experts say Tancredo has no chance at the White House, but like Ross Perot's campaign on a balanced budget in 1992, he has found an issue that could force other Republicans to treat immigration as a major issue.
The MSM is writting the script on this all the way. Tancredo will give them what they want.

Tancredo is a mouthy, publicity-seeking fool. His only virtue is that he keeps Ron Paul's nonsense off of the FR radar.
