Former U.S. intelligence officers criticized President Bush on Friday for not disciplining Karl Rove in connection with the leak of the name of a CIA officer, saying Bush's lack of action has jeopardized national security.
In a hearing held by Senate and House Democrats examining the implications of exposing Valerie Plame's identity, the former intelligence officers said Bush's silence has hampered efforts to recruit informants to help the United States fight the War on Terror. Federal law forbids government officials from revealing the identity of an undercover intelligence officer.
"I wouldn't be here this morning if President Bush had done the one thing required of him as commander in chief protect and defend the Constitution," said Larry Johnson, a former CIA analyst. "The minute that Valerie Plame's identity was outed, he should have delivered a strict and strong message to his employees."

Not here. I had a running two-day battle with Howlin' for saying the same thing you just said.
Screw him. The world does not begin nor end upon what Howlin's opinion is.

I think Rove should have called up Larry and said "f--k you Larry, and that 'Rat-Donkey you rode in on".
Larry Johnson: the NEW definition of "has-been".
And for no extra charge, he is happy to provide totally WRONG interpretation and analysis!!!
LMAO, what a DEAL he has for YOU!
I love it.

LOL! And for the moonbat Left the obvious question: where is the proof Rove leaked classified information to the media and thereby endangered Valerie Plame's life? I thought so! Its time to move on!

You haven't got any in the first place. The only Pablo Escobar that you or any one of your delusional pals have killed was probably on a Playstation 2.

My FRiend, you do not owe me ANY apology whatsoever, because you were proceeding with the proper attitude of exercising caution, and watching out for the overall integrity of FR. It is true that I signed up in October 2004, however I had been lurking on FR for a long time, while I was still a resident over at L.Com.
We see so many trolls and sneaky rascals pop up outta nowhere that caution is ALWAYS advised. So again, no apology needed, keep right on with the wary eye! ;)

Larry Johnson is a just a political oppurtunist now. Trying to make a name for himself. And concerning his comment on Pablo Escobar, any second rate PI could have found Escobar with his flamboyant lifestyle. Its not hard to see 12,000sq mansions in the middle of a jungle with satellites.
Perhaps Larry Johnson would like to comment on Sandy Bergers theft of national security papers. Or the fact that the Clintons handcuffed the CIA for years allowing al qaeda to slip thru the holes in our defense. It is certainly people like Johnson that should be tarred and feathered for his ignorant comments about leaking out Plames identity(even though her husband wrote a book identifying her).
Message to Johnson: Your pathetic attempt to gain notoriety in US politics with your lame comments are transparent. You should be strung up and caned.
