I don't recall seeing many posts as bad as you describe, but I definitely did not parse the entire thread. Perhaps it went too far, I don't really know. I happen to agree with much of what Ann said, to the extent that I passed her commentary around to my circle of hard right rudder conservative friends--loyal American conservatives all.
As far as FR is concerned, you seem to be reacting to something that has concerned many of us for at least the past 2 or 3 years, and that is a perceived gradual drift to the left toward center. This may at least partially explain an excess of criticism directed at Ann. What I have been seeing, and I am very sorry to have to say it, is a forum that is now far more amenable to GOP Big Tent RINOs/Liberals/Moderates than it is to conservatives (and by that I mean loyal American conservatives). And that's a real shame. Most of us, by far, want FR to continue to be a conservative site for conservatives.

This has not been a conservative site for some time. It is nothing more than a republican organ.

Many self-titled "conservatives" on FR and other forums disagree with each other on major issues. I myself do not identify as "conservative", even though I vote GOP (though I've also voted LP) and agree with "conservatives" on most issues.

Who is a better to judge. Mark Levin or Ann? If Roberts turns out to be a good nominee, then chalk one up for Levin. What we say now matters less than seven 'moderate' Democrat senators.

I'm new here this year, and find it a very useful informative forum. Its a popular place with lots of participants. Just like the republican party, as the band wagon gets bigger it gets harder to be organized, cohesive on on point. We spend a bunch of time talking about Natalie Holloway, a day in the life of Pres Bush, obligatory Ann Coulter pictures, etc. but its all interesting to those who want to participate in those threads. What I enjoy is the interchange of ideas. Everyone gets equal weight here. The only thing that counts is what you say, and how much sense you make. I love that I don't even know who I'm talking to. Age, sex, color, race, height, hair color, breast size, matter not. Its just your ideas, and do they make sense. It is truly a FREE REPUBLIC. Lets see the glass half full because its really actually to the brim. I never contribute money to anything, especially causes, but when I saw that this place operates for 250k per year and collects only 55k of that from us, I immediately sent 50 bucks, and will do that as often as I can.
Nothing gets by these people, our eyes are always open ever vigilant, maybe you've been here to long and are just taking some important things for granted.
