Fired on? And the problem is what? We should have bombed them.

If we had troops that opened fired on Syrian security forces, I don't blame them 'em a bit.

The Syrians have sat back and let most every fanatic and crank cross their border into Iraq.

It's only a matter of time (if it hasn't happened already) that there's a major border incursion by our troops into Syria. They may be chasing terrorists across the border and may not stop at the toll-gate, so to speak.

I, for one, will applaud that.

Syrian requests for night vision and radar-based monitoring systems to prevent night infiltrations

GSR Ping.

Doesn't sound like stuff we should provide an enemy.

Fired on? My question is how many did we kill... that is what's important.

Syria said on Thursday its border troops had been fired on by U.S. and Iraqi forces and accused Washington, London and Baghdad of lack of cooperation in preventing [Syria from assisting] insurgents infiltrating into Iraq.

There, I fixed the sentence.
