Shots reported at London Tube station as manhunt goes on

A suspected suicide bomber was shot by police at a London Underground station this morning and unconfirmed reports suggested that he had been killed.

Passengers were evacuated from a train on the Northern Line at Stockwell, south London, at 10.30am after hearing what appeared to be shots being fired.

A witness, Briony Coetsee, told Sky News: "We were on the Tube, someone shouted 'get out, get out' and then shots were fired."

Unconfirmed reports suggest that police acting on a tip-off from a member of the public followed a young man onto the platform. It is believed that the man was attempting to get on Northern Line Tube when the shots were fired.

The station was sealed off to the public and a number of surrounding roads were closed.

Metropolitan Police were unable to provide any further details....

Man shot by armed police on Tube

A man has been shot at Stockwell Tube station by armed police officers.
Passenger Mark Whitby told BBC News he had seen an Asian man shot five times by "plain-clothes police officers" with a handgun.

Passengers were evacuated from the Northern Line station in south London. Ambulances including an air ambulance have been sent to the scene. Police have cordoned off surrounding streets....

Is this the first time in history that the British Police have actually used a gun. Hopefully the Policeman wont be sent to prison.

Passengers said they saw police pursuing a man who appeared to be of Pakistani or Indian descent. Some said police shot him when he tripped.

But one witness told the British Broadcasting Corp. that police "pushed him onto the floor and unloaded five shots into him."

"He looked like a cornered fox. He looked pertrified," Mark Whitby said.

Whitby said it didn't look like the man was carrying anything but said he was wearing a thick coat that looked padded.

Another witness said there were at least 20 police officers involved in the chase.

"The next thing I saw was this guy jump over the barriers and the police officers were chasing after him and everyone was just shouting, 'Get out, Get out!'" said Chris Wells, 28.

I just heard on Fox News that there are unconfirmed reports that the "asian" shot 5 times was found NOT to be carrying any explosives.
As I said, however, it has not been confirmed. He is the suspect from yesterday.

I must admit I didn't read this news article as posted. What I would like to say is we have a serious problem with the infiltration of the Muslim culture into western societies in which they despise for faulty religious reasons.

Britain must realize as must we that as Michelle Malkin pointed out today that just about all of the terrorism being implemented has and will occur from Muslims. We must profile Muslims in order to cure the disease that has infected western culture.

It is one thing for them not to agree with our culture and quite another to enact a policy of elimination or extermination of our culture. We must disregard political correctness in the war on terrorism in order to face our enemy head on instead of waiting for them to jump out of the darkness.

Until those who are of the Muslim religion here and in other countries such as Britain and Australia stand up against this ideology they claim is against their beliefs they should be targets too because just not committing the terrorist acts themselves while silently they rejoice makes them the enemy too.
If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck you can be pretty sure the damn thing is a duck.
