Good point. My cellphone keeps adjusting it's time to meet whatever the local standard is and I don't have to think about it at all.

And there's certainly no problem in adjusting railroad schedules anymore.

I have a better idea. Change work hours from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm for three months, ...but leave the stipulation that everyone must leave their light off from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Since we'll all be sleeping later, it couldn't matter.
Who needs Congress?

Useless in today's world.

Not where I live, friend. Without DST, the sky would begin brightening at 3:30am and we'd have full daylight by 4:15am from about early May through late July. Sorry, but I get little enough sleep as it is. In December and January, the sun wouldn't rise until after 8:00am, resulting (as it did last time this was tried) in more rush-hour auto accidents. Thanks, but no thanks.

I agree. Hawaii and parts of Arizona and other states don't recognize it at all.

It's one of the dumbest legacy "programs".

If farmers need extra light, make "daylight savings time" year round. Just pick a time, and stick with it 365 days/year.

There is no longer any purpose whatsoever for DST, and I have no idea why they would be voting to adjust it rather than abolish it.
