Perhaps if we'd occupied Germany after WWI, then we wouldn't have had had to re-fight them 20 years later.

Actually, we did....The Treaty of Versailles had it in Demand # 8 (here) and the US Army even issued a medal for it ( here).

Showing stepped up security in NYC on FOX.

I was in the city early this morning (lincoln tunnel inbound and then subway)

It was very low key. Didnt notice too many police in Port Authority, few German shepards, but no M-16 toting guys like last week.

My boyfriend's in the city still at work and says security stepped up outside (he works in one of the tallest buildings)
