Oh come on. He was obviously being sarcastic with the "spic" comment since he was attacking certain anti-immigrant types.

What do I know though, I am only half spic. Maybe I'm a racist too... Don't tell my dad, okay?

Not for honest US citizens

Even Slick Willy & Hillary had to pay interest on unreported income

If Poncho here did not file for all or any years with the IRS - and paid all the payroll deductions as required by statute and filed with NC and other states - his "penalties" and "interest" over all of those year up until now - would exceed the $31,000 he is sneaking temporarily with to Mexico

Check out the mommy of his 16 year old son too - for assets, property - from unreported - or undereported (to get the $4000-$5000 EIC) income

Did he have a driver's license obtained with faked or purchased official IDs? That - kiddies is a severe federal felony - the feds just busted a large counterfeit ID ring here in the US - headed by a creep living in Mexico - that sold counterfeit SS cards, US birth certificates, driver's licenses, - you name it - to millions of illegal aliens - many who now illegally vote here in the US - against you kiddies!

- SIDE NOTE!

"Unbiased" leftie Bill Moyers just exposed on FNC by Brit Hume for asking FBI (on LBJ's orders) to investigate homosexuals on Goldwater's campaign staff - documents prove this - Moyers then screamed the "memo" was "planted by the CIA" - AG said he would "check it out" - Moyers then backed off - saying "I was 'so young then' (sound like Kerry?) -how will I ever explain this to my children...."

Moyers also ordered the IRS to audit Republicans while on LBJ's staff =

Bill Moyers - the ultimate "Great Pretender" of the leftist PBS-TV and liberal media!

The deportation officer in this instance broke every rule in the book.

Yes, please. Do you know of any employers who do have them on their payrolls, sir?

Sure. Half the people who cook your food, wash your cars, mow the lawns on the commercial buildings at which you shop and do commerce, and babysit your kids or the kids of someone you have on your payroll (I doubt you have ever met a payroll or you would not advocate the idiocy of turning over immigration enforcement responsibility to local employers, but...., for the sake of the argument.....)....., in short most of the service industry in America is staffed in part by illegals. Crap, half the employers in town in service industries have them.

I will give you a little anecdotal story. I went into a lawn and garden shop the other day to get some advice on weeding my yard (I do that stuff myself). I saw a job app with a xerox copy of a Social Security card and some guy named "Miguel" or "Pablo" or "Hector" or something like that. I asked the owner if he hired many "Mexicans" (they are all "mexicans" to most of these folks, even if they are from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, or whatever). His response: "Hell yes, they are the only people who will work. I ran an ad in the paper for a gardner helper/driver. I had 8 Americans interested in 'driving,' but when I told them they would also be doing manual labor, they weren't interested anymore." He then went on for a bit about how he built his business by not being afraid to work and get his hands dirty, blah blah blah. The point is that the disgusting accusations by freepers that the greedy dishonest businessmen want "cheap labor" is a combination of insulting, ignorant, and tinged with just enough leftism to make me personally want to puke. Businessmen want to make a profit, and want to reduce their overhead, certainly. But what they want MORE is reliable workers who will take pride in their work and get the job done and not act entitled.

I have one Latino employee. She is an American citizen. I would hire her if she were illegal, though, BECAUSE SHE GETS THE JOB DONE. I have hired 4 stupid little white minxes who wasted half the day talking about their loser boyfriends or whined because I made them cover up tatoos or forbade them to wear piercings at work. One of them spent half the day on aol-im and I forbade her to reinstall it on the machine. She actually told me (before I fired her) that it was an "invasion of her privacy" to challenge what she did "on her own time" (when she wasn't working). Don't even try going down that road about business owners "exploiting" the "cheap labor." It is a lie, and I know it whether you do or not.

Thank you, and that's really all quite informative. Specifically though, do you yourself or do you know of an employer who hires illegal aliens?

Technically, doesn't the money belong to the property owner?

I'm glad they let him retrieve it. Hope it doesn't end up in a transfer snafu.

He probably didn't pay any taxes on it.

It's a sticky wicket with the illegals, and I am conflicted about how the problem should be handled.

"Just because the leftists overplay the race card doesn't make the statist (protect my job, Mr. Fed!!! the scarey spics are coming!!!!)cant that comes out of these boards any less despicable."

Have you told the illegal's that you consider them to be spics ?

I was MOCKING the racist, statist attitudes of many of the anti immigrant howlers on FR, although might consider expanding the target to include those too stupid to realize their own ideas are being parodied, if you asked sweetly.

Now imagine if Joe Citizen had 31K in cash in his vehicle and were pulled over for a traffic stop.

That's an excellent point.

So the guy was here illegally for 7 years, never paid taxes but gained the benefit of everyone paying taxes, and he's now entitled to it?

Here's why people are upset, in case you missed the clue train this morning:

If this happened to a legal american citizen, or a legal immigrant, the government would have seized the money and put him on trial for not paying taxes. But since he was here illegally, he gets to keep it.

Talk about positive reinforcement gone bad. Does the action of giving him money he shouldn't legally have ENCOURAGE or DISCOURAGE more illegal immigration into this country????

What part of "NONE" (to the first question) and "yes" (to the second question) did you miss? You sound like Ted Kennedy on the judiciary committee when he asks a question and gets an answer he doesn't like. If you ask it 14 times, I bet you get the same answers. Life is like that sometimes.

I understand your feelings on the matter.

But I have a problem with confiscating the man's money. I am impressed by his diligence in saving so much over the years.

I wouldn't have a problem with taxing him at the lowest rate, but if you broke down his earnings over the 7 years, he would be exempt from paying any taxes.

I hope he makes it back to the USA. He can come and work for me.

"But I have a problem with confiscating the man's money. I am impressed by his diligence in saving so much over the years."

As stated before by another person, this money would have been confiscated from an ordinary american citizen. You know, the ones who are supposed to have constitutional rights and actually pay the taxes to provide the services he used for free for over 7 years.

He came her of his own free will. He knows the consequences of his actions. When you play the game and lose, you should get a free pass that no other legal resident would ever get. EVER!!!!!

Sorry, it's a stinking pile of BS to act like this guy is a victim or in any way heroic.

And the reason he was able to save so much money over the years is that he DIDN'T PAY ANY FREAKING TAXES!!! NOTHING!!!

I could save the same amount of money if I didn't have to pay state, federal, unemployment and social security taxes. Big deal. HE got a special advantage not once, but twice.

AND YOU WANT TO ENCOURAGE MORE OF IT!

You should remove the word 'patriot' from your name. Sickening.

B4Ranch, please be aware that there are some posts that contain SATIRE.
This means they may state something that is the opposite of the intended meaning in order to make a point more forcefully by use of the juxtaposition of ideas.

chronic-loser used this literary device when he wrote the word "spic" as a way to illustrate the crudity of people who normally use the word as an insult.

It is common for users of satire on Free Republic to include a sarcasm tag for the benefit of those who may have a satire detection deficit, but for extremely obvious examples of satire such as used by chronic-loser (and by myself, here) it is usually omitted as unnecessary for the reason that anyone who needs the sarcasm tag to recognize it in its extreme form, wouldn't recognize it even with the presence of the tag.

Having just hopped the "clue train" let me be the first to invite you aboard: 1) If he worked on a defence contract job, I can guarantee you he did NOT work "without paying taxes" Illegals who work without papers have the SAME LEVEL OF MEDICARE/SOCIAL SECURITY/AND FEDERAL INCOME TAXES taken out as American Citizens do. The big difference is that he doesn't FILE. However, since the fed has placed the burden of being tax collector and record keeper on the small business owner, all that money goes straight to the fed. (We won't talk about the brain dead idea of demanding that small business be further saddled with immigration enforcement right now, but if you would like to bring that up, my guns are cocked and loaded)

Oh yeah, one more thing. That money that is witheld? If you follow the w4 rules you always over withold. All the American citizens eagerly file their returns and get their refunds, and if they are out of work, they apply for unemployment. In short, they get a full ride on the fed gravy train. And if they live to retirement and the fed has not wasted all the social security on some damfool spending program, they can withdraw that, too. All these "untaxed" illegals get none of that, with the possible exception of medicaid for kids and school programs. In short, undocumented Hernando is propping up our social "safety net" with no shot at getting any of it back so that ignorant rants can whine about illegals who "pay no taxes."

2) The response may be that he works "contract" and thus is 1099'd and no taxes are witheld. Maybe. However, before wailing about Pablo, maybe I should introduce you to Philip, or Ken, or Jim, or some of my clients who are American Citizens born here in the USA, who are contractors. Because I do their workers' comp insurance, I look at their schedule C forms. Do these guys claim a THIRD of their income? Hell no. Do they pay ANY taxes? Again, HELL no. You would not think of reporting them if they were your friends or associates, but you are ready to seize the hard earned money of some guy who is HAPPY to work for 10-11 bucks an hour because.........., for the life of me, I cannot figure out why.

One thing that isn't a lie is the fact that employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens are violating federal immigration laws, which makes these employers lawbreakers. Lawbreaking employers hiring lawbreaking illegal aliens.
