We have paid for this with 14 years in Viet Nam, a permanent Castro, and emboldened Muslim Terrorists. They judged our nation by the weakness and vacillation of this diseased SOB who took his seat with a stolen election. Yet the myth goes on. The Kennedys are revered as "Civil Rights" Leaders, yet during Jack's absurd career (so reminiscent of Kerry) in the House and Senate, he voted with the hard-line segregationists every time and produced next to no legislation himself.
Martyred, Jack and Bobby gave Ted a free pass to the Senate for the rest of his life. Ted's Immigration "Reform" Act of 1965 may ultimately top the damage done by Jack, the worst President we have ever had. And I include Franklin Pierce.

You really can't absolve the Massachussetts electorate on this.
Thanks for pointing this out. It's the absolute truth. Teddy has had a totally free ride because of the assassinations of Jack and Bobby. Nothing could be truer. The voters in the Comm. of MA. somehow think they "owe it to Teddy" to "keep the Kennedy flame burning" by guaranteeing him that seat in our U.S. Senate for life.
I lived in MA. for most of my life. I know!
By sheer chance, I once spent a weekend skiing at Stowe, VT. with Ted & Joan, although Joan didn't ski. ("The Lodge at Smugglers' Notch"). We spent the whole Saturday evening with the two of them plus his cousin, Joe Gargan. Believe me, when Teddy doesn't have a prepared speech in front of him, he sounds like a human dictaphone..........disorganized drivel.
Thanks for your comment.

A couple of years ago for the 40th anniversary of Jack effin's assasination, a friend from out of town visited me here in Dallas, so I took him to the Book Depository. The place was swarming with Jack effin mourners. While we were there, I said in my loudest conversational voice to my friend: None of this would've happened if Nixon had the balls to challenge Kennedy's votes in Illinois. If he did, Nixon would've won, and Kennedy wouldn't have had any reason to be here on the day of his assasination.
I noticed many people around me in the crowd stiffening up with shock at my impertinent words.
