Thanks for pointing this out. It's the absolute truth. Teddy has had a totally free ride because of the assassinations of Jack and Bobby. Nothing could be truer. The voters in the Comm. of MA. somehow think they "owe it to Teddy" to "keep the Kennedy flame burning" by guaranteeing him that seat in our U.S. Senate for life.

I lived in MA. for most of my life. I know!

By sheer chance, I once spent a weekend skiing at Stowe, VT. with Ted & Joan, although Joan didn't ski. ("The Lodge at Smugglers' Notch"). We spent the whole Saturday evening with the two of them plus his cousin, Joe Gargan. Believe me, when Teddy doesn't have a prepared speech in front of him, he sounds like a human dictaphone..........disorganized drivel.

I am hoping that Ted's latest attempt to get on stage, fighting the Supremes nominations will result in a revisit to Chappaquiddick. Santorum zinged him pretty well a day or so ago ... but someone has to slap him down with the direct and real story of the negligent homicide of Mary Jo Kopechne.

The Massachusetts electorate must have some sort of disease. Maybe it's the water? Gargan, whom you reference in your post, also could have saved that girl's life. Three Massachusetts lawyers sat around for 9 hours before reporting the accident. Unforgiveable.
