Unfortunately we can't go back.
1. Politically it would be suicide for he who attempts to change things now, even if now we are having all the so called "dreamed up" chauvinistic theories come true. Failed family care plans, non-deployable pregnant females, females who can't execute their job because the job requires close work with a Muslim ally, rape, lower retention rates among women than males. All those "chauvinistic", "bigoted", "sexist" theories are now bubbling to the surface for real. But just the mention of any problem can already get you in trouble.
2. We are an all volunteer force. The Army cant make its quota anymore and is already cooking the books to make things look better than they are (Include delayed entry personnel in the statistics and shazam- over night the Army went from a 20% deficit a month ago, to making its quota on recruits). Females make up a substantial part of our manpower today (I believe around 17% in the Army). The Army simply cant do without them.
