Search engine requests for Podcasts -- Internet broadcasts, created for downloading on Apple iPod audio players -- have soared 1,052 percent during the last three months, according to Lycos. Rush Limbaugh has already laid claim to a fair number of the above sales of iPods/MP3 players due to the success of his podcasting (accurate or not).
Someone checking out our history Podcasts just recently sent us a list of his church's sermons which they now have up on Podcasts.

I got sick of listening to talk radio and having 5 minute commercial breaks every 10-12 minutes. TiVo for radio.
Dittos. I find myself not wanting to listen to talk radio because it's 50% adds.
I think when Apple releases the next verion of iTunes I expect it to include the ability to handle subscription Podcasts, something not available now. I wouldn't be surprised that Microsoft will soon update Windows Media Player so it also supports subscription-based .MP3 file downloads (remember, Podcasts are essentially broadcasts recorded in .MP3 format that are available for download).
I prefer listening to talk radio in real time.
