burglary and menacing by stalking.

A 13 month sentence. Thanks, legislature and judiciary. Really good work.

Poster child for capital punishment.

Then he would have had no incentive to keep her alive. Put him behind bars for the rest of his life. No possibility for parole.

"or would you even have him in your neighborhood"

How you gonna get a good sight picture if he doesn't come around?

"Then he would have had no incentive to keep her alive."

I must be reading you wrong.

Capital punishment *is* incentive not to kill people.

If capital punishment is given for rape, kidnapping w/o murder, then there would be no incentive to keep a r/k victim alive. If I understand arguments here correctly, people are calling on the death penalty for this man. I don't believe he killed this girl.

"And we keep letting them out of prison."

Simply amazing. We keep hearing about this kind of thing. One would think that after hearing of such debacles time and again, judges would start using a bit more scrutiny when releasing these animals.

Classic liberal thinking. Kill this POS now and save future victims.

"When will the judges in this country LEARN that these monsters can never, ever be released from prision?"

How is the judges fault? The perp wasn't released early, he served his time and was released. Blame the perp not the judge.

Okay, I see your point.

I actually overheard a conversation a few years back in which a ghetto POS was talking about a "friend" of his who had gone to prison for rape. He finished up with a solemn pronouncement of the lesson to be learned: If you be rapin' a bitch, kill the ho so she don't be testifyin'. Or ebonics to that effect.

I'm not a liberal at all. If that rape victim was my daughter, I would have wanted appropriate sentencing guidelines.

Oops, pushed "post" too quickly.

My point was going to be that it seems some scum will kill just to avoid a five or ten year prison sentence.

Oh but that was in those bad ole lynching days when hot shot lawyers from NYC would come down and get all sorts of guilty-as-hell rapists off and as a reaction, lynchings happened. Mad Dog Cole's lawyer was one of those who sought publicity in the South in the 1920s.

The ones they bother getting in there in the first place.

You would be surprised how much the penalty of death would be incentive not to rape and kidnap in the first place.
