should lose their assets in the foreign country, they will be reimbursed entirely by the paycheck to paycheck US taxpayer. Absolutely horrifically corrupt is the idea of the FDI. Yes, this is the wrong way to do what I was implying. What is really going to work is for courts of law to cause contracts to be enforced. So that the government of a foreign nation cannot abrogate a contract or a deal at their pleasure. Of course if the courts are under the power of the government it won't work.
