"Sind ihre Papiere alle in Ordnung?"

To which I would reply, "Ich verbrauche keine Papieren. Aber habe ich zwei Mittelfingern fuer Ihnen. Ich bin Amerikaner, und ein Freimann. Zum Teufel mit Ihnen!"

(Trans.: I need no papers. But I have two middle fingers for you. I'm an American, and a free man. To Hell with you!)

Sorry. I don't get to use German very often, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity.

Sounds like a national ID card.

Well, you have a choice. Either to be able to distinguish a citizen/legal resident from an illegal visitor or to give up on the nation's integrity. There is no third way.

If you say that, you better be prepared to dissapear.

Truth isn't the first casualty of modern pseudo-war, humour is.

Once the ID card is the mandatory symbol of citizenship, it can then be freely distributed to the third world for a sickeningly small fee by the traitors who infest our governmental Beauracracy.

Thus lowering the value of American citizenship to tupperware at Walmart.

To believe your governemnt is on your side is to drink the koolaid at Jonestown.

Bottoms up!

Not really. It will be matched against the vital records. Where there is the will, there is the way. It was being done for long time in many countries.

Your German is not bad, but the word "verbrauche" is "to use" whereas you would have wanted to use the word "brauchen" (conjugated to the Ich form - brauche) which means, "to need".

Sounds like a national ID card.

Not sure if it is a good idea with a potential Hitlery regime the horizon.

I don't recall that Slick and Slickette required any specific laws to empower their corruption. They simply ignored the laws that were already on the books and did what they pleased.

The most effective defense against such corruption (and corruptors) is not the law, but the ballot.
