Per Starr: Roberts argued 40 cases in Supreme Court and is one of the premier lawyer and a respected Judge. He's right down in the middle of the fairway and is considered a moderate conservative choice. Ginsburg, who represented the ACLU was still confirmed due to her strong judicial background and Judge Starr feels that should be the case with Roberts. The nominee should reflect the philosophy of the President who appoints, as was Ginsburg, and Roberts is an ideal candidate for GWB. Starr said the tone he heard from Schumer was not encouraging and he fears what this will turn into.
