I'll note for you my point- it would seem that the police erred by not conducting a more thorough search of the vehicle. Which sat in the front yard of the mother's house, unlocked, for the whole world to search, including the mother.
They probably never expected the kids to be IN THE %#$$@ FRONT YARD FIVE FEET FROM WHERE THEY WERE SPEAKING WITH THE %#&^@ MOTHER!!!!
Are you saying the cops are more responsible for this tragedy than the mother?

No. HAH. Okay, now I know you are just pulling my leg. Re-read (or read for the first time) my posts to you. I agree with you- the parents are to blame. I have also pointed out that it seems the police erred in not being more thorough when searching the vehicle. Understand that does not mean the police are to blame for something the parents could have / should have prevented. Nor does it mean that I think the police should pay a monetary award to the parents. It means that the police now have an opportunity to correct the way they conduct such investigations so that the next time, God forbid, they will hopefully save a life or three. Where we differ is that that I think the police take steps to do do better job and you think the police are always irreproachable. Beyond that, your comments are flying about in circles, pell-mell. I'm done with you. Bye now.

Are you saying the cops are more responsible for this tragedy than the mother? No, the cops are only responsible from the time they showed up and took over.
