To say that replacing O'Connor with a conservative originalist changes nothing is simply wrong.
I believe I said "on many issues", not "all". Agreed, that on certain items O'Conner could be easily improved on, but on others she has been right for conservatives and could easily be on a different side from others who might change that one issue. Witness her scathing agreement with the minority on the recent eminent domain issue - that minority vote could easily be even weaker with someone who nevertheless had an originalist philosophy.
