Am I the only one that has noticed the disappearance of Howard Dean? No sound bites, no Sunday talk shows....zilch.

Somebody in the Democratic party must have called him aside and had a few words along the line of "make yourself small for awhile". He was shooting holes in the liberal boat from the inside but I guess they got him back into his virtual straightjacket.

Damien LaVera, a spokesman for the DNC, described the GOP counter-rally as "sad." He said Dean "is coming to Pittsburgh to talk about serious issues that affect Pittsburgh families and the best they can do is a silly scream contest."

"There are real issues that matter to real families. Let's talk about those," he said.

All they can charge is $25 for an event with the head of the national organization? That doesn't sound very impressive.

Then again, for a conservative it would be a great deal...much more entertainment for much cheaper than the cheap seats at the circus.

MurryMom was proud to be one of the several hundred enthusiastic Democrats fortunate enough to witness Dr. Dean's speech this evening. The wildest cheers went up when the Doctor spoke out against Rove, Santorum, and other members of the BushCo dictatorship who led our country into an unwinnable war based upon false pretenses.

OTOH, the outsider agitators consisted of a dozen or so scruffy looking Hitler Youth brandishing Bush/Cheney 2004 signs. Talk about living in the past for a lost cause...
