I thank all you Vietnam Veterans here at Free Republic, and I say "Welcome Home!"

Tonkin posted this link awhile back about a great event coming up in Las Vegas. I intend to go, so FReepmail me if you're going too:

Godspeed good old soldier. I served under you. I repect only one man more, my father. You'll meet him now Sir, in the arms of The Lord.

This is like losing an old Ranger buddy, sad. I never thought he would die. He was bigger than life and a great commanding General for the fight that they had given him. All the troops loved Westie, he was a GI's General.

Lastly....General, Sir we NEVER lost a battle, you and I, we NEVER lost the war. It was the cowards that lost the fight to keep those people free. God bless you and keep you,......forever.

I have nothing good to say about the man. He was a political general.

He should have been tried for High Crimes and Treason.

It is the Generals responsibility to protect their troops. He did not. He allowed McNamara and LBJ to sacrifice our young men, my friends and neighbors.

I guess McNamara is still alive, the sob. I hope they reincarnate as Somalis.
