The menu looks like a huge salad buffet. Not my idea of a dinner "out" either.

I don't know - I sort of would like to taste that "basmati rice with currants and pistachios"

When I was growing up, pistachio was a common ice cream flavor. Now it is sort of hard to find. Everything is a variant of "cookie dough".
