JULY 19 -- THIS DAY IN HISTORY (Ted Kennedy killed Mary Jo on this day in 1969)

• 1968: US Senator Edward Kennedy’s car drove off a bridge on Chappaquiddick Island, Massachusetts killing his 28-year-old companion Mary Jo Kopechne. Kennedy fled the scene of the accident and received a suspended sentence of two months and one year's probation. Chappaquiddick now stands for political nemesis— a shady part of ones past that won't go away.

If any Republican Senator had real cojones, he would simply read into the daily proceedings, every day:

Mary Jo Kopechne, Ted Kennedy, Chappaquidick, July 19, 1969.

Just repeat it over and over. How could any Dem defend against it?

Teddy Splash Kennedy has a neck brace on the morning after he drowned Mary Joe.

He injured his neck when the dozen lawyers that showed up attempted to pull his head out of his ass.

"...I think that also on this date, Apollo 11 lifted off for a more glorious destiny...."

N, the 19th was the night before the first lunar landing. Ironic, wasn't it? Here John Kennedy's goal was hours away from being achieved and at the same time, his youngest brother was killing a human being. And he has been doing that ever since with his rabbid support of abortion. More is never enough for Shamu.

......but this kind of behavior I would think a Dem or lib would do......this is not such a Christian act to dredge this crap up everytime ....The Swimmer is a loser from the word "Go" but to sink to the libs level is not so flattering....

Teddy's criminality needs to be paraded in public FOR ETERNITY. Otherwise, the MSM wins; the Chappaquiddick story will be forgotten, and Teddy's legacy will be rehabilitated to the point that he is actually remembered for his Senatorial career rather than as the unrepentant, unpunished criminal that he is.

QUOTE OF THE YEAR "If she had lived, Mary Jo Kopechne would be 62 years old. Through his tireless work as a legislator, Edward Kennedy would have brought comfort to her in her old age."
- Charles Pierce in the Boston Globe Magazine. Kopechne drowned while trapped in Kennedy's submerged car off Chappaquiddick Island in 1969, an accident Kennedy did not report for several hours.

MIDI - WHEN I'M 64

He had submerged her then ran away...many years ago
Charles Pierce knows Teddy still would be her friend...looked out for her right to the end
Please stop your laughing...give him a break...come on, it is true
He would have helped her...had he not killed her...when she's 62

We know Teddy would have saved her had he finished lifeguard training...that's well understood
Damn YMCA...they had their lifeguard program cut...and sent him away

He is a drunk and he is a slug...that is clear to all
He had lots of Scotch and emptied out the fridge...then went driving off of the bridge
Please stop your laughing...give him a break...come on, it is true
He would have helped her...had he not killed her...when she's 62

We know Teddy would have saved her had he finished lifeguard training...that's well understood
Damn YMCA...they had their lifeguard program cut...and sent him away

Yes, he is bloated and he is scum...tell us, what's the point
DemocRATS don't answer for crimes they commit...right wing whackos, get over it
Please stop your laughing...give him a break...come on, it is true
He would have helped her...had he not killed her...when she's 62

true......but he will be haunted by that for the rest of his life....and no one will forget it......and I don't care if we villify his ass here and elsewhere.....just calling him to rub it in seemed kind of immature......he knows the score

"You can bet that, if it were the other way around, Mary Jo would have done everything possible to save him and would have gotten help immediately."

She wouldn't have had to do anything - whales can swim.
