1968: US Senator Edward Kennedys car drove off a bridge on Chappaquiddick Island, Massachusetts killing his 28-year-old companion Mary Jo Kopechne. Kennedy fled the scene of the accident and received a suspended sentence of two months and one year's probation. Chappaquiddick now stands for political nemesis a shady part of ones past that won't go away.
I've never been able to understand how HE got out of the car and she couldn't. Was there ever an explanation? Or is that all part of the hush, hush stuff?
We may never know how many other girls Teddy knocked up over the years, how many unknown Kennedy heirs there are out there not realizing that their frunkenen boarishness is hereditary. It is so sad!!
I wonder if he reads his email on this anniversary.
ON THE OTHER HAND: This is the anniversary of my mother's birth. It is, therefore, a sainted day.
He "accidentally" mentioned the guys name in his line of questioning at those hearings. He was given a pass. Rove apparently didn't even mention Plame's name and never intentionally and actively sought to reveal her position at the agency. He isn't given a pass. Double-standard exposed.
If Splash was a Republican the MSN would have hounded him out of politics years ago
I hope you'll forgive me for pointing out something disingenuous: While pointing out our childishness, you call him "The Swimmer."
Just relax and enjoy yourself.
Ted Kennedy killed Mary Jo on this day in 1969, but today he looks like he needs a bra. The swimmer's not in great shape.
Why isn't there a law against him appearing in public like that?
Hey, while he was in jail, I sent limericks to O.J. mocking him. Was that okay?
Too bad there always seems to be a few stick-in-the-mud types, those who have absolutely NO sense of humor, who try to diminish your efforts. It won't work - your tenacity is much appreciated by most of us here. Keep up the great work.

When he was younger, he learned to swim...a lifeguard he hoped to be
But things don't always work out as planned...in this case he would soon see
He had someone take his diving test...I think, my friends, you know the rest
One night he emptied out the whole fridge...and then drove off the bridge
Mary Jo, you'll love the feel of my 4-door Oldsmobile
Let the wind blow through your hair...we will pretend we have no care
Mary Jo, some time we'll steal...in my spacious Oldsmobile
I should never have had those last 10 drinks...oh my goodness, see it sink
Mary Jo, I'll hear you squeal in my 4-door Oldsmobile
We'll hop in the big back seat...where I will get my special treat
Mary Jo, tonight's ideal...we will rock this Oldsmobile
I should never have had those last 10 drinks...oh my goodness, see it sink
Mary Jo, come for a drive with me
With the wind in our hair we'll feel free
I have all the power of two hundred horses
We will have a fun time, you will see
Fords and Cads and Jags better scurry
'Cause I'll really be in a hurry
'Cause I'll really be in a hurry in my Oldsmobile
You are making my dingy quiver
I am hoping you will deliver
I know a nice place by a river where I'll cop a feel
It's automatic and the engine sure purrs
It has air for summer weather
And if I am naked while I fool around
My butt sometimes sticks to the leather
Mary Jo, you're cute as a model
Will you pass one more Chevas bottle
You'll see when I step on the throttle it will be surreal
It is always an adventure in my hot Oldsmobile
I've a technique I haven't varied
Let us just pretend I'm not married
Let us just pretend I'm not married in this Oldsmobile
I know sometimes I am conniving
My friend just took my test for diving
But I swear that I'm fit for driving so it's no big deal
It's automatic and the engine sure purrs
It has air for summer weather
And if I am naked while I fool around
My butt sometimes sticks to the leather
Mary Jo, you're cute as a model
Will you pass one more Chevas bottle
You'll see when I step on the throttle it will be surreal
It is always an adventure in my hot Oldsmobile
When we hit the road, if it's raining
There will be no need for complaining
My brakes I've always been maintaining in my Oldsmobile
It's well known that I hold my liquor
Most officials get drunk much quicker
There's a barf bag if I get sicker after that big meal
It's automatic and the engine sure purrs
It has air for summer weather
And if I am naked while I fool around
My butt sometimes sticks to the leather
Mary Jo, you're cute as a model
Will you pass one more Chevas bottle
You'll see when I step on the throttle it will be surreal
It is always an adventure in my hot Oldsmobile
not disingenuine at all.....if you read all my post...and that is a fault of many here....I said he should be villified and I don't mind at all what he is called here..I"m not defending the man....what I said was childish was calling his office......so I'm am very relaxed and just don't see the point it that.....so please.....you too enjoy the day....just read all my post and get the true meaning..thank you.....
sure...all that was OK.....and I don't need to lighten up too much.....i'm pretty relaxed Doug.....just thought the phone call idea was a bit much....send him all you want in the mail.....I wouldn't waste a stamp on the man.....but that is me......just pointed it out....not mad, or furious, or up in arms......simply pointing it out....in a relaxed manner......thanks
Okay. I appreciate your position.
haha.....you are too much.....calling he office to call him a murderer is not my idea of humor.....and hell, I' was voted class clown and did stand up comedy a bit.....I do have a better sense of humor then most......and am not diminishing anyone.....a mistake too many FR's make....since I didn't defend Kennedy at all....if you read my posts.....just thought the phone call was not in good taste...afterall.....I do hold myself to a higher standard then the DUmmies......
What a dirtbag!
