A federal jury has found San Diego City council members Ralph Inzunza and Michael Zuchett guilty of several charges in connection with allegations that they accepted money from a strip club owner in return for efforts to rescind the city's no-touch ordinance. Intersting since Ralph Inzunza was sworn in as acting mayor Friday to replace the resigning Mayor.

San Diego is a mess, the AG sued the pensions board dor graft and corruption this month.

It is fast becomming the Florida of the west.

Intersting since Ralph Inzunza was sworn in as acting mayor Friday to replace the resigning Mayor.

I think it must have been Zuchett, since he was Deputy Mayor. Now he's immediately suspended because of the conviction, so SD is without a mayor. Since there's no Deputy Mayor now, I think the mayorship is up for grabs by the unconvicted crooks on the City Council.

I will stand corrected. I don't live in SD but listen to Mark Larsen. I understand they now move to some old deputy mayor ( I heard on the radio this morning).

I'm listening to Larsen too. I didn't realize until just now that the City Council is going to be evenly divided with 3 Democrats and 3 Republicans. That should be interesting.
