I'm sorry I didn't know how to post this as a link. The above address will take you to Tammy's obituary. Please feel free to sign the guestbook. Put FR by your name so our family will know who you are. We plan to let Tammy's girls read the comments one of these days.
Thank you!

Kim, this is the first I heard of Tammy's death. I'm so sorry for your family's loss. We've suffered a tremendous loss here at FreeRepublic.
Earlier this year, I got into a couple of big debates with Tammy over Laura Bush's comments at a Washington, D.C., dinner and also the minutemen patrols in Arizona. We got into it pretty good, but we managed to keep things friendly to the point where we even would talk about our own lives and say goodnight to each other in the wee morning hours.
Even though I never met Tammy in-person, I considered her a friend. I went back through my messages, and I see the last message I sent to her was on a thread about Ann Coulter's appearance on CBS' Late Late Show. I said simply "night-night" after she said she was going to bed. I'm devastated that I'll never get to talk with her again about issues of the day.
Again, my deepest sympathies to all of Tammy's family. Please know that she had a huge second family here at FreeRepublic.
Charlie
We traded jibes and emails for the past couple of months, then I quit hearing from her. I and many others here have lost a friend.
She posted this pic of herself on her about page at my request:
FYI
TAMMY GAMMON passed away suddenly June 29, 2005. Tammy was a loving mother and best friend to her daughters. She was a strong and brilliant person and her family relied on her strength and leadership to help with family challenges. Her leadership role carried over into her community service where she saved many lives while performing her duties as a paramedic, both in the Tomball area as well as Houston. Tammy will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. She has joined her Dad who preceded her in death. Tammy is survived by her daughters, Rachel New and Krystina New; mother, Ruth Dimmick; sisters, Pamela McNeal & husband Russell and Kimberly Conger & husband Doug; brother, Michael Dimmick & wife Kelleye; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at Champion Forest Baptist Church, 15555 Stuebner Airline Rd, Houston, TX 77069. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to USO of Greater Houston, Inc. 2700 SW Freeway, Houston, TX 77001-0397.

She passed away on my birthday. I had been teasing her leading up to it by letting her know how many more shopping days until my birthday.
Condolences to her family and friends. She will be missed here.
Bump to the top.
BTTT for Tammy.
And thank you for this opportunity, Texanforbush.
Continued prayers for your family.
Jonny
