Made my blood boil when I hear this trash.

"when challenged: It went into attack mode"

(any denial from a Republican is attack mode.)

"Can anything said from the White House podium be taken at face value, or does the White House just deny automatically anything that reflects badly on it?"

(Bush is a liar.)

"when that involves tearing down the character of your critics, it can also be very dangerous business."

(mislable the defense of good character as tearing down that of your critics.)

I usually only watch FNC, and I won't make the mistake of watching this democreep again!

I've got news for Bob Schieffer.... No one cares, except for the far left nutcases. But it looks like you care, huh Bob?

Now two years and millions of tax dollars later

If only these liberals were concerned about the other 99.99% of federal tax expenditures. To hear them whining about it you'd think the entire federal debt is from special prosecutor bills.

This could and should have been dealt with inside the White House long before it reached the special prosecutor level. Instead, the president's people followed the modern public relations rule, `Never admit a mistake, just do what is necessary to kill the story before it kills you,'

What would that have resolved, seeing how Rove isn't the one who leaked the story, it was leaked TO him?

DUH!

I haven't had network news on my tv for years.
Don't put yourself through it. More and more people aren't.

What they are learning, though, is that when that involves tearing down the character of your critics

Isn't that the MSM's job?

MSM definition of tearing down the character of your critics = pointing out his lies, which were later verified as lies by a bipartisan senate commission.

Bob Schaeffer, you're a flat-out bone-broke no-good liar.

Hmmm, the Clinton administration NEVER went on attack mode, not any bimbos character assasinated. Hmmm, wonder if Schieffer was this critical during the 90's?

"it went into attack mode." very funny coming from the MSM who are always in attack mode. and of course totally incorrect. the Prez instructed all of his people to cooperate fully. as far as i know the WH has been utterly silent on this (and getting grief for it, too). EEK. they drive me NUTZ

Listen, anyone allowing Bob Schieffer to make their blood boil need a psych eval.

To me, it is like saying an inconsequential antique lampshade made your blood boil.

We're conservatives...we do not allow benchwarmers from the AAA team affect us.

As another FReeper pointed out, the Bush Administration keeps handing the Dems exploding cigars, and they keep lighting them! LOL

What's that saying about getting out of the way of your enemy when he is self destructing?

HOW ABOUT JOE WILSON'S TREASONOUS LIES!!!!!!! This moron cares nothing about the real crime. Its no wonder people are all up in arms, I know I've been living in a Red state of rage for about 10 years. I think knitting may be a better choice for me......

Bob Schieffer.. FTN.

If a tree fall in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?

TV shows hosted by bitter old socialists are so 20th century.

Network (made up) news smells worse than my garbage dumpster. Let them keep digging the hole deeper and deeper. They may hit a nuke factory in China before one of our nukes does, and will be history.

Look at their viewer numbers, and you can tell they are on the biggest decline in the "made up news" ever.

"Can anything said from the White House podium be taken at face value ..."

Can anything said from CBS News be taken at face value?

Can anything said from Joe Wilson be taken at face value?

Cooper and Novak call Rove. They say "Hey, did you hear about the bank robbery last night?"

Rove answers "Yes, I did."

Therefore, Rove robbed the bank.

Now, common you guys! Brush up on your left wing logic here. Get with the program!

ALERT... WATCH NETWORK TV AT YOUR OWN RISK

This is actually predictable and a lesson to the rest of us that nothing has changed with the outing of Dan Rather.. There are plenty of empty suits ready to take his place..

Isn't attack mode what the Kerry campaign and the Democrats did when the Swift Boat Vets came forward to challenge the Kerry "war record"?

Speaking of that have you noticed that Kerry has successfully killed all talk of his SF 180 being "released" by dribbling out a little more of his record to "trusted agents" in the MSM?

I am hoping that the special counsel has found a lot to go after and because the NYT is stonewalling it looks like maybe it is not good for them or the Wilson Democrat attack crowd. If it does go badly for them watch the press drop this like they have dropped all the other red herrings for the last 5 years...

It went into attack mode, called charges that the White House had leaked the name ridiculous

When did Fitzgerald and the court decide the White House leaked the name?

Oh damn. It's that liberal logic again.
