"The female reporter gave an on air book review "
what was the date of that?
I had not heard it.
They wanted him to spill his guts so they could nail him. He didn't take their bait.
More people than me saw that news review! That's why the reporters that called Rove used the "Super duper secret" in their phone calls. It was that on air book review that got the ball rolling.
Was Wilson sweating again?
Me, too. Went to the seashore every morning and picked up scallops. The roar of the ocean is humbling and exhilerating at the same time. Awesome!!
How does one search for copies of this "review"? Is there a library of aired interviews somewhere? Why hasn't this come out before?
Anyone know the first time that the PUBLIC knew that Joe Wilson had gone to Niger?? And the sequence of who knew? when??
That's what this whole cover up is about. I saw the on air interview. Wilson outed his wife in his first book and he gave a reporter a sneak peek - and the press reported on it. Once Wilson found out he screwed up, as well as the reporter, the cover up started. The press called Rove to verify to see if he caught the review. They wanted him to say something so they could blame the leak on him, and cover up Wilson and the reporter who did it. They thought the outing law covered Plame, and they panicked.
Going after Rove would get such attention, it would take the attention off them.
Hoe do you know that Wilson wrote in his book that his wife was a covert agent?
Noticed a book on Foster on Tim's table. (Only kidding)
When this "scandal" (and I use that term loosely) unfolded, the left wasn't counting on a relentless prosecutor running it to ground. They were hoping for a Lawrence Walsh, who would spend years on the case (accomplishing nothing), then make a few politically-motivated indictments on the eve of the 2006 elections.
At this juncture, the investigative trail seems to be leading away from the White House, and toward the "other" people interviewed by Cooper and Miller. I'm guessing someone on the left planted the info on Plame, hoping their MSM friends would involve the White House, and allowing the liberals to tar the Bush Administration on the "outing" of Ms. Plame. Given the record of Plame and Wilson in this affair, I'm guessing that the ex-Ambassador and his wife may have been the original source for this information. It would be appropriate to see Mr. and Mrs. Wilson doing the "perp" walk in the very near future...
interesting - first I've seen that....
Yes, I saw that. Thanks for pointing it out.
There's more to this Plame thing than meets the eye. A reporter is not sitting in jail for the good of the profession especially when it has been reported that the source has given permission to be named.
I want to know the Plame/Miller/Cooper connection...
WMD
Is there an investigation going on into who leaked or outed Plame?
State and CIA were warring with each other about whether or not to go to Iraq, what to do once in Iraq -- therefore the Plame/Wilson/CIA moves were part of that whole scenario of those at CIA that did not want us to go to Iraq. this is what made the sending of Wilson to Niger "on behalf of Cheney" highly unlikely as Wilson espoused, and more likely on behalf of malcontents at CIA who were apparently acting politically.
What Cooper didn't know was that Rove put out a memo, too.
Left wing author. Left wing wife. Left wing news station. Left wing reporter. Niger/yellow cake a huge left wing issue. They all believed outing Plame was a crime, and especially bad if it would be Wilson who'd get busted.
I'm not sure what station I saw it on, so I couldn't tell you where to search. It was left wing, I know that. I always watch fox, but I was "brave" that day.
Wilson's first book was put on hold. Then, he rewrote it to add the leak part.
There are FReeper checking on the copy write stuff to see if the first book was copyrighted (I hope they are, anyway, because I don't know how). The info wouldn't be found at Amazon .com because the first draft was never released to the public.
See post #14.
President Bush should have cleaned out both the CIA and the State Department right after 9/11.
Most of the problems assicoated with the dem/lefties seem to come from the hacks retained by those departments...with their own political agendas...and let's not forget Scott Ritter....feh.
amen!
