BURBANK, Calif. - A city councilwoman was arrested on suspicion of cocaine possession after her boyfriend told authorities they had used the drug together and he had associated with a notorious street gang and sold guns to a member.

She doesn't look like a druggie. But then we have a porn star running for Lieutenant Governor. I think I'll vote for her. A big body builder and a porn star slumming around in Sacramento could be curious fun. Politicians in CA must pass the cartoon character test before they get elected.

What the article did not state, was that a gun still registered to Schaffer and found in posession of the gang members, was tied to the murder of Burbank Police Officer Matthew Pavelka. (sp?) (I would assume balistic tests had been run. This additional information was made public by the Glendale News Press 07/15/05.

My wife swears she read what I posted in the Friday News Press. If the information is not accurate, I appologize. I questioned her about it and she remained firm on the issue.
I tried to find yesterday's article on their site, and didn't find it.
A subsequent article did not touch on this issue.

Schaffer also told police that Murphy was aware that two of his associates were gang members and that he and Murphy had purchased cocaine and used it. Murphy, who has three children, also was accused of child endangerment.
Those who know her reacted with shock.
