Or hurricanes. I realize that hurricanes should be part of the news but do they have to be the lead story every day and take up most of the news for any given day.

In a Muslim country, if he killed the kids, he probably wouldn't last long.

But pederasty - normally with young boys - is A-OK in Muslim countries. Usually it involves a higher-status adult male and the children of lower-status families (that is, nobody is going to bugger the sons of the local imam or sheik, but the kids of the laborer are fair game).

If anyone knows why the links I posted are two different colors, would you let this techno idiot know?

I take it you mean the links in post 59. They're not a different color. I see them both as red. If I click on the first one and then return to this page, I will see the first one as blue and the second one as red. If I click on the second one next, then return to this page, they will both look blue.

That's because the colors for un-followed (unclicked) links in a browser are different than the colors for followed links. You can use HTML to define what the followed/unfollowed colors are, or you can let the browser defaults determine it.

Not only does Dr. Wachsman work in pediatrics, but he requested that Duncan be permitted to come and live with him and his wife and kids in ND. (Don't forget, ND is where another little girl disappeared from not long ago.) The judge, for once exhibiting common sense, refused the request.

Wacksman has a license in Florida (where I live), but apparently has never had a practice here. He lives and practices in ND. Other than that, I know nothing about him. Any other FReeper have more information????

Duncan was probably a sociopath, and they are good at getting others' confidence. Go see the movie "The Talented Mr. Ripley" if you want to see a great portrait of a sociopath.

He apparently posed as somebody who wanted to be a Christian, overcome his demons, etc., and collected money from innocent people on this basis. However, he also obviously had a lot of support in the gay-NAMBLA sector, and I don't think these people were unaware of his tastes or what he was doing.

My feeling is still that they should all be put to death immediately after conviction. I have 3 kids myself, and I have a brother who is a year younger with whom I was very close - we were almost psychic twins - when I was a kid, and I can't imagine the horror that pair of little kids went through. It literally makes me wake up sweating at night, because apparently he would torture one of them to make the other do something. Duncan should have been dead long ago, and I hope he is put to death now.

Bill O'Reilly discussed the support and money given to Duncan. His supporters certainly merit at least thorough investigation.

"It is my intention to back him, support him, and help him in any way possible upon his release," Woelfert had written in 1991, shortly after meeting Duncan.

Wonder what that means in gay slang...

Ah - it is becoming clear. I thought everyone would see them the colors I saw.

I really am a techno dunce. I'm lucky I can do what I do.

Actually deportation of criminals has been done before by any number of countries...tough love of sorts...and with some success - why not try this, with payment to receiving nations (perhaps in Africa) helping them financially and helping us too.

Jeez, I know! When Hurricane Dennis was about to hit the Florida Keys, Brian Wilson on Fox kept somberly repeating, "This is going to be a three or four day story." All I could think was, better get stocked up at Blockbuster. I've seen Geraldo Rivera in a wet raincoat once too often!

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. (March 21, 2003)

"To oversee its hospitalist initiative, Morton Plant North Bay has appointed Richard Wacksman, M.D. as medical director of the program."

Don't know if he's still connected to this hospital.

From the article: "Wacksman said he didn't think Duncan was homicidal, though in the past he talked about suicide and what it would be like to drown...Duncan, who likes to scuba dive, visited Wacksman in Florida in March."

This is just too weird. It sure sounds like Wacksman and Duncan were VERY good friends and that Wacksman didn't just act out of misplaced Liberal sympathy for the "accused" when he vouched for Duncan and gave him money for his defense.

And Wacksman obviously didn't move to Florida for professional reasons since he doesn't practice in Florida.

I've heard it said that Florida has become a playground for perverts. I hope a very thorough investigation will follow. When the ACLU starts huffing and puffing, you'll know we're getting close to the truth.

Pederasty is not such an awful thing in Muslim cultures. Have you ever read Michener's "Caravans" for example? Because of the brutal isolation of women in many Muslim nations, men resort to other means if you get the drift. Not particularly frowned upon.
