What if someone in the CIA was leaking classified information to influence the 2004 election? Uncovering a crime like that would be worthy of Inspector Javert's doggedness.
I suspect the biggest shoe in this case has yet to drop, and liberal journalists won't be happy when it does.

We're not talking here about the CIA leaking forgeries, but about the possibility of rogue elements in the CIA (read partisan Democrats) setting up the Wilson thing to use in an effort to undermine the administration. The forged documents were traced to Italy. I don't know for certain, but believe the actual source of those forgeries was never identified.
I also believe we will never know the truth of the matter.

Well I was thinking more along other lines. One, I'd be leery of what sort of payback someone powerful in the CIA might be able to do to me if that was the source. Two, even worse if the source was a Clinton I'd be wary a) having a heart attack, b) being tied to railroad tracks, c) lose a cat or dog, d) have a flying accident, e) being gunned down at a traffic light or f) for no apparent reason commit suicide in a federal park.
Joe Wilson is a Clintoon/Kerry supporter. He may be more than just talk.

AFAIC, the "CLINTON shadow government" and the 2004 Kerry campaign, were one and the same. Kerry was, had he pulled off the win, to be a mere figurehead, IMHO.
That's very interesting. Clifford May wrote a column suggesting that Wilson leaked information about his wife to David Corn . Corn wrote this in response:
Number of times I've been contacted by Patrick Fitzgerald, interviewed or contacted by his investigators, and called before the grand jury: 0
YIKES!!! David Corn has NOT even been interviewed by Fitzgerald???? Either Fitzgerald is completely incompetent, or David Corn is a target of his investigation!
BTW, the Panel on Fox News this morning discussed this aspect of the case. Even Juan Williams conceded that Rove having testified numerous times is a pretty good indicator that he is not a target, although he did say that one can be a non-target for a long time and then suddenly become one. One of them, I think it was Fred Barnes, then speculated that Rove was called back by the grand jury to verify or refute what others had testified about their contacts with him. If Rove had lied in any of those statements, he would have instantly become a target of the investigation for perjury and obstruction of justice, and pleaded the Fifth Amendment in any future testimony, and that would be splashed on Page 1 of every paper in the country, and his lawyer would certainly not be saying anything about this case. So it seems entirely plausible that one or more reporters may have lied to investigators or to the grand jury about their conversations with Rove, not the other way around. Judith Miller may have refused to testify because she would have had to invoke the Fifth Amendment, which would have ruined her career and mortally embarrassed the New York Times.
Could minor Ambassador Joe Wilson himself have been the source in blowing his own Wife's cover?
It is distinctly possible, (though it may be unlikely that Joe Wilson himself directly was NY Times Judith Miller's source), since Joe Wilson himself evidently routinely bragged openly to strangers about her CIA employment, prior to such "cover" being "blown" in the press.
Here's an example of Joe's apparently routine and open bragging about Valerie being a "CIA agent," which became known directly to me over a year ago:
He certainly bragged about it per a famous and highly reliable source's (named below) account of his own face-to-face encounter with Amb. Joe Wilson prior to Valerie Plame's "outing" as a CIA agent/employee.
Based upon a personal conversation (we were in a small group eating; it was NOT an "off the record") I had with eminent historian Victor Davis Hanson (we were at a luncheon table together during a trip to Europe), it appeared entirely possible that Joe Wilson himself was the (or one source, if not the original one) possible source in revealing his own wife's status as a CIA agent or employee.
Victor Davis Hanson (Wilson presumably knew Victor Davis Hanson wrote regularly for NRO (National Review Online), had done OpEds for the Wall street Journal, and other publications, and had his own Website with a widespread following) said he (VDH) & Joe Wilson were both in the same "Green Room" before a televised debate-discussion on Iraq, etc. and Joe first warned the TV make-up person not to get powder on his $14,000 Rolex watch, then he bragged to Victor about several things (possessions and trips to Aspen, etc.), like his expensive car (I think it was a Mercedes), and then bragged about his beautiful wife who, Joe Wilson said (braggingly) was a CIA operative.
I asked Victor Davis Hanson Why he didn't write up this account.(?) He replied that Joe Wilson would probably simply deny it, since only he (VDH) & Joe Wilson were in the Green Room together before the broadcast.
However, it is now easy to surmise that Joe Wilson is a crass, materialistic, self-promoting, vain, egotistical, bragaddocio-opportunist, so this account is perfectly consistent with Valerie Plame's TWO photo shoots in Vanity Fair. (Or was it Vogue? No, probably too crass for Vogue, n'est pas?)

Lets hope this becomes true. I will donate money for the buses and help coordinate a drive to to collect money for the buses.
