WASHINGTON The husband of the C-I-A agent whose cover was blown is clearing up some confusion over a comment he made to C-N-N.
Joseph Wilson said yesterday that his wife, Valerie Plame, "was not a clandestine officer the day Bob Novak blew her identity."
Today, he says he was only pointing out that once her identity was blown, his wife lost her ability to be a covert agent. He says he wasn't suggesting that she had stopped working undercover for the C-I-A beforehand.
Wilson is continuing his attack on White House adviser Karl Rove, for discussing his wife with columnist Novak and Time magazine reporter Matthew Cooper. The discussion came just days after Wilson had written in The New York Times that some of the administration's intelligence on Iraq's nuclear weapons was twisted to exaggerate the threat.
Of the 200,000 that may watch the show, 99% have to be from DU or some other Rat weblog, or Air America fans.
Anyone running against the Senior Senator from NY should use the video in the upcoming election. Then again, New Yorker's don't seem to give a s--t. Never mind.

As others have noted, this is a dispute not unlike determining what the meaning of is is. It's also somewhat like trying to interpret one of those optical illusion silhouette drawings that is either a picture of a vase or a picture of two heads in profile. So, in such cases, a bit of context is helpful in resolving the ambiguity. In the case of Clinton, he has a history of being a liar and a scoundrel, and so it is clear that he was trying to pass off a lie. On the other hand, Wilson has a history of... um, uh, gee, he also has a history of being a liar and a scoundrel, doesn't he... :-)

For Wilson's twists on Rove, Wilson sure has a few of his own. Blitzer raises the legitimate subject about Plame's appearing in a photo. Wilson twists it into a persecution of himself, the "RNC" somehow defining him and not permitting him to speak out.
Also, and not for the first time, he points to an unsourced leak to the press that his wife didn't recommend him to prove the Senate Intel Committee's findings otherwise were wrong.
You need to understand the message of the MSM.
Now that the Dem's are failing in EVERY attempt to show credibility in their platform, which is solely to destroy the POTUS and his administration via political purpose, above and beyond the true reason for their election, which is to govern, The MSM is as lost as the Dem's for they both lack conviction and without conviction a path of maintenance upkeep cannot exist.
Only disarray....

Also to clarify, my assertion is based on an analysis of "parallelism" in Wilson's phrasing. I will admit that phrasing in people's extemporaneous speech is not always susceptible to such analysis, because of the disjointed nature of human thought and verbal expression...
