The two kids are practicing Hamas techniques. The could be Muslims in the making.
Just one Man's bigoted view of the evolving American polyglot.
This is almost as suicidal as the white kids who drove into urban Detroit to fire paint guns at pedestrians from their car. Some of the victims fired back with real guns.
Chasing the kids and apprehending them for the authorites is not out of the question.
Chasing them down and beating them is.
The one who died, IMHO, died as a result of a tragic accident initiated by his own dangerous actions. We do not know if the one chasing him would have beaten him or simply apoprehended him at this point. Based on the actions of his friend, we might presume he was going to beat him up...but a jury in a court of law will have to make that determination, short of a guilty plea or deal with the prosecutor.
As my mom used to say, "you could put-out someone's eye with one of those things".
You assume the drivers knew those were bottle rockets. See my previous post. Some people, when fired upon, do not assume that the incoming fire is harmless.
Get a grip, LRM. Kids have been shooting bottle rockets at cars for probably as long as bottle rockets and cars have been around. I knew guys who did the same thing 30 years ago, when Hamas didn't even exist.
Look for monsters under some other bed. It had nothing to do with this case.
A bottle rocket can crash through your car window and impale you, killing you. Especially if you are doing 60 to 70 mph on the highway/interstated.
The kid got what he deserved and the angry driver should get a medal for his actions.
He didn't deserve death, but on the other hand, he didn't care if he caused the death of some driver who wouldn't have known bottle rockets were as harmless as you claim. Being hit by something like that could have resulted in losing control of the car.
There's a trucker in an Atlanta hospital that might dis-agree with you.

After midnight, scaring the bejesus out of you, where you could have wrecked your car or have gotten into an accident with another vehicle. They deserved to be beaten. The parents should have taught the kid to look both ways.
Yes, it would appear there's a whole lot of stupid on this thread, let alone the freeways out there.
If the seventeen year old girl who hit him had died as a result of an accident caused by a bottlerocket through her window, we would not even be hearing about this.
Yeah that's it -- when fired upon, they chase down the shooters and engage in fisticuffs! Not believable in this case.
The older guys were probably a couple of young toughs, nothing more or less. Any bets as to their prior acquaintance with the local law enforcement agencies?
Another tragedy because of undersupervised kids.
Plus, as I have always said; It is illogical to intentionally threaten persons of unknown mental stability and temperament, not to mention retaliatory mindset.
that someone be Tyrone
I feel bad for the dead boy's family but that doesn't change the fact that him and his cousin were little bastards.
Bottle rockets at cars is NOT innocent. I heard a story just last week (here is the link http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/07/05/tanker.crash.ap/ ) about some boys in Atlanta that fired a bottle rocket into a truck, hit the driver in the face, he wrecked the truck, and then the boys beat him to death.
A friend and I were testing a newly made slingshot by launching rocks over the road we were standing next to. One salvo fell short of the other side and came down on a passing car. The car screeched to a halt, backed up and the driver gave chase. He caught me and his passenger caught up with my friend.
The driver was a high school football player from my town and was well over 6 ft. tall.
He grabbed me by the collar with both hands and lifted me up to his eye level and said, "What's your name?"
I told him. He then said, "Where do you live?" I told him. He then put me down and got into his car and drove off.
I thought I had it made so I started walking home. When I arrived there 30 minutes later, my old man was waiting for me. Apparently, the driver of the car had been there for a visit and had relayed the incident to my old man. I can still hear the sound of the belt slicing through the air as each stroke came down upon my rear end.
We live in different times these days.
