More than 15,000 volunteers will man observation posts and conduct foot and horseback patrols this fall along the Mexican border from Texas to California and in seven states along the Canadian border in a new Minuteman vigil to protest what organizers call the government's lax immigration enforcement policies. Chris Simcox, who heads the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, said volunteers from throughout the country who are "concerned that the U.S. government must be made to act and take control of our borders" are signing up in record numbers for the new monthlong patrols set to begin Oct. 1. "We want a secure U.S. border and an end to the blatant disregard of the rule of law regarding illegal immigration," Mr. Simcox said. "Nearly four years after the September 11 attacks on America, we should be doing a better job of securing our borders. "Our government is more concerned with securing the borders of foreign lands than securing the borders of the United States," he said. Mr. Simcox, publisher of a Tombstone, Ariz., newspaper and founder of the Civil Homeland Defense Corps in Arizona, coordinated the "Minuteman Project" border vigil in that state in April that for a 30-day period shut down a 23-mile stretch of the U.S.-Mexico border to illegal immigration. He said the new volunteers will be deployed in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas and that other Minuteman groups will patrol the border regions of Idaho, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Vermont and Washington. They will observe and report to the U.S. Border Patrol, but not detain, those attempting to illegally cross into the United States, he said.

And you're a pile of cr*p along with bayourod and his 2 or 3 coherts.
You can sense the hatred toward the poor old American citizen who works like a dog every day to take care of his family, and through his taxes, half the world. The American citizen and the country that was America, are being dismissed by these traitors as if either didn't even exist in their grand scheme of things.
Who gave these traitors the right to destroy America? They are saying that the wealth must be redistributed from America, and one way to do that is to have heavy illegal immigration, and force the stupid American taxpayer to pay the bills for these people until the middle class is bankrupt. By bringing in millions more illegals, American citizens will lose the vote and we'll be at the mercy of the people who will run the CFR's new world.
The only reason the Republicans on here won't read the truth about illegal immigration is that Bush is a big part of the CFR's plan. He is doing his job very well, thank you.
Tell it to the Freerepublicans.
It's so Occam's a razor it must have cut out everyone's tongue.
Not hearing a word in response.
They're "Freepers'"Gill-doggie.
And don't go into an obscure fog with that "Occam's razor" stuff....some body here might have missed that movie.
That's the trouble with you dang Theater Arts majors...can't seem to share the potential we share for a common language.
Say what you mean.
There are already laws against coming across the border illegally. There are alrady laws against hiring illegals. You really think one more will do the trick?
How?
They know it. Believe me, they know it. Their hope for the country lay, as did mine, with George Bush. I have accepted the fact that he and the Republicans aren't going to change anything, in fact they are making it worse. Doubt the others here will ever admit it. Some may even root for more illegals, etc. because it is the Republicans who are pushing the destruction of our country, after all.
Why doesn't Bush secure the borders, when everyone with a second brain cell screams for it?
Occam's razor is a half baked theory which claims the simplest answer is the right answer.
If so, the simple answer to why doesn't Jorge do his job is that he has no intention of securing, what he wants to dissolve.
Simple.
Now the plan is clean shaven, at least.
Gill, let's look at it this way:
If it's any way true that something like 30 million illegals are already in our country, what percentage of them would you (Yes You.) care to guess are Islamo-fascist terrorists?
1%?, 1 1/2%?
Even at 1/2% Bubba, that is the Big Problem...not the fact that the barn door is open.
Let's focus on addressing the fact that the House is on Fire.
The house isn't on fire, yet.
This is a home invasion, with a member, no, a leader of the household holding open the door for the gangbangers as they rush in.
At the same time he's calling those who resist, "Vigilantes."
We need more than that...We need a 100,000...And I wish I could be one of them...
i'd like to see a broader involvement of americans of mexican descent and blacks.
as this movement grows, it will undoubtedly be protested by the left.
and put on tv. the left controls american tv.
conservatives cannot win an emotion laden confrontation with minorities on tv.
It reduces the demand thus eliminating the incentive.
I'm not sure people are truly aware of what's going on. This is not exactly something you see explained on the nightly news. What was everyone watching at that time? Was it the Michael Jackson pre-trial investigation events?
If the news media would report that an agreement was signed that we will be integrating our borders, economy, and security with Mexico and Canada, and explain what that vague language really means, I think some eyebrows would be raised.
They won't admit it until the sleeping Gulliver is securely bound.
Ted Stevens, and the 17 other Republican senators who voted with him not to hire more Border Patrol, needed that money to build more bridges in Alaska. As Emeril says, "Pork rules!" With myopic leadership like this from fossils like Stevens, we will never have secure borders and will be attacked again. At least we'll know who to blame when it comes.
I just mailed back to my Honorable Senator Elizabeth Dole a questionaire her office had sent me.
I wrote in no uncertain terms that the Pres. and Congress must close the borders. And why.
They won't question how I feel. And I added that I won't contribute one dime until they do it.
After hearing this, I found this in the Christian Science Monitor:
...critics claim that Alaska - large in land, small in citizen numbers, and fifth in transportation dollars - wields disproportionate clout. This year, it could win twice as much highway money as New Jersey. Beyond transportation, Alaska receives seven federal dollars for each tax dollar sent to the US Treasury.
"What we're seeing is that it doesn't matter how important your project is as far as serving a legitimate public need. What's most important is whether you have a politician with ties to the transportation committee."
A TCS analysis shows the average lawmaker wins $14 million worth of highway projects, while members of the Senate and House Transportation Committees pull in about $40 million each - some far more. On the House side, Jim Oberstar (D) of Minnesota got $90 million in projects and minority leader Nancy Pelosi of California was awarded $120 million. Speaker Dennis Hastert (R) pulled in $160 million, and Young of Alaska, the committee chair, lined up $590 million - surpassing many states with 20 times its population. Unrepentant, Young has said he'd "be ashamed of himself" if he hadn't delivered spoils to Alaska, which relies on federal subsidies for its transportation infrastructure.

Translation: there is no such thing as illegal immigrants if we make them all legal.
I know I'm very late on this thread, but do you really think it a surprise that a Bush mouthpiece thinks the only way to secure the borders is to give an amnesty?
