Police: Charged Gang Leader Recorded Song

GARFIELD, N.J. -- The leader of a gang of teens charged with robbing taxi drivers recorded a song boasting about the attacks, authorities said.
A compact disc recovered from one of six teens arrested in the case contains a song in which he brags about committing "stickups" as a way to make money, Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli said.

This is why thugs always get busted. They have to tell all their "homies" about their crimes so that they can earn "street cred" and then one of their homies decides that the $2000 reward from crime stoppers will buy some nice bling-bling and makes that phone call.
Happens all of the time. Jails are filled with stupid criminals, rarely smart ones.

Molinelli said the teens would call taxi companies and request that a cab be sent to a specific address or street corner. When the taxi arrived, as many as three teens would jump out from behind parked cars, with bandannas covering their faces, point handguns at the driver and demand cash and cell phones. And yet the race pimps cry discrimination when cab drivers and delivery drivers refuse to venture into certain parts of town.
