While Wilson was pursuing his foreign investment ventures, he also served as a foreign policy advisor to the 2000 Presidential campaign of Al Gore.

Didn't he or Schumer today claim that he had voted for George Bush in 2000? I know he made a donation to the Bush 2000 campaign (though most of his other donations were to Dems).

Clinton claimed that Wilson voted for Bush 1 in 1992.

He gave $1000 to Bush in the Primaries. He probably thought Bush didn't have much of a chance against Gore.
