Yep, just another lame attempt at generating a "scandal". Unfortunately for the Dems, for a scandal to occur, a Republican must first do something wrong. No Republican did anything wrong in the Nat Guard story, the DSM or the Plame kerfuffle.
The Plame kerfuffle would have come to this with or without a SCOTUS vacancy. To argue otherwise is silly.

Just because the Dems have hatched a plan doesn't mean it is going to work. They think they have something now that will stick to the President. They have been wrong before with everything else they have tried, and I think they will be wrong again. This will never reach the level of impeachment, but I certainly would not put it past the Dems to start crying that "there are too many questions about the President's credibility" for him to nominate any justices right now.
