Some of this is true but I think you have over-dramatized the various outcomes and consequences.
Essentially the RATS have used the VN playbook to oppose Bush on Iraq and now they will drag out the watergate playbook to see if they can throw some mud on Bush with regard to the Rove/Wilson/Plame nonsense. I don't need any birdies to tell me that.
Of course the MSM will go along with the RATS - they did then, they are doing so now and will do so in the future.
And of course the SC is a big stakes political game at this moment.
I think you are largely correct but some of what you say is overblown - the left's agenda is dead for the next 30-40 years if Bush gets 1 or 2 SC appts? - I don't think so.
Oh? How long has it been since Rowe V. Wade? How long since the first Affirmative Action ruling? The EPA? It will take just as long to revive them as it will have taken to kill them. All Bush need do, is select a couple of folks in their early 50s. That will insure that the court could live through a couple of Democrat presidents if need be.
