Oh? How long has it been since Rowe V. Wade? How long since the first Affirmative Action ruling? The EPA? It will take just as long to revive them as it will have taken to kill them. All Bush need do, is select a couple of folks in their early 50s. That will insure that the court could live through a couple of Democrat presidents if need be.
Things are no where as apocalyptic as you would have us believe. If Bush does get his 1 or 2 appointments do you think they are going to be Scalia and Thomas lookalikes? I don't think so. The Spectres, Chafees, Snowes et. al. will see to that. I fully expect another Sandra Day O'Connor.
And even if he were to get 2 Ann Coulters on the SC, a) there are too many clinton appointees in the lower courts to overturn all their decisions and b) a lot of time decisions don't get overturned because they're "settled law".
Again, I think you have it largely correct, I would just tone down the rhetoric a few notches.
